Saltmate RP20 - Service Manual

Hi,

I’m pretty sure my Saltmate RP20 SWG cell is dead.

How can I check to see if it’s the cell or the controller?

Anyone have a service manual for a Saltmate RP20?

It’s a Australian brand.

Hey Nudey
Just a few checks you can try if not already. The answers will also help the experts trouble shoot your issue quicker.
I'm guessing your Free Chlorine is dropping or not increasing?
Can you see the cloud of chlorine inside the cell while it's on?
Have you tested the water out of the return and compared it with a sample from the pool away from the return? The FC should be higher if the cell is working.
Do you have a Multimeter to measure the Volts and current going to the cell?
Do you have current test results from your CCL kit?

I had already started to disassemble the pipes and filters and in the process had to remove the cell.

As the pictures would show the cell is cactus, it literally fell apart on removal.

I have a new cell ordered, and I do have a voltmeter and tong meter being an electrician. Hopefully it's the cell and not the controller.

At least your plates are still there. After I bought my place I found all but two plates had fallen off. Some were in the cell housing and the others were on the ground around filter.
Did you have any luck finding a service manual?

I have had no luck finding a service manual.

I was thinking of cable tieing it back together to see what reading I get of old vs new when the new cell comes.
