Salt water generator dying?

Hi members,
I think my salt water generator is going out. I have the check system red light on. And the controller states the salt is at 2600ppm. Tha SWG is just short of 3 years old and is a Hayward T-15. I have cleaned it twice and again since it quit working. The drop salt test shows the salt at 3400ppm. If I force it to Generate salt I get the information below. I have checked the circuit board for bad solder connections but it looks good. Anything else I should check before I call the pool company to check the SWG?

The controller is showing 3000 ppm for instantaneous salt which is fine. The average salt may be low for some other reason but can be reset to instantaneous in the next menu to the right.

Does the salt level in the diagnostic menu decrease with time?

No the aquarite panel stays on with the pump turned off. I did notice a change the last time I went through the menu’s. In the diagnostic menu the instant salt 3000 + to save after hitting + the SWG is continuing to work instead of turning off after a minute or so.

I am not familiar with the AquaPlus automation but the SWCG system should be completely powered off when the pump is not running. The wiring for the SWCG should be from the LOAD side of the Filter/Pump relay.

Your flow switch may have failed. Check that too.

What equipment do you actually have (e.g. AquaPlus,AquaLogic,ProLogic,AquaRite)?

If you are unsure, post some additional pictures of the equipment.

The AquaPlus is similar to the AquaLogic/Prologic and supports a SWG without the need for the AquaRite. Do you also have a separate AquaRite controller?

The picture you posted says 3000 ppm and it looks like it is the diagnostic menu. It also says AquaLogic.

I have a AquaPlus system. The interior Aqua Logic panel might be wrong because the interior panel was missing when we purchased the house. Contractor installed that one.

So no AquaRite, just AquaPlus?

AquaLogic remotes are compatible with AquaPlus controller so the display is correct and within normal operating parameters so it looks like the cell is operating as it should.

What is the current filter pressure when at full speed and what is the filter pressure when clean and at full speed?

When was the filter last cleaned?

The filter pressure is just below 20 and that is about what it runs with a newly cleaned filter.

I think the SWG is working again. I had to save the instant salt of 3000 and the system stays on now. I will keep an eye on it and post again if I see any issues.
