to keep long story short. Had the liner tear and had to drain the pool. Needed to change the salt water system out so figured its good time for that to. so for right now going to have it as a chlorine pool until get salt system hooked up. so what do I do differently? I have not added any stabilizer to it. only thing I have in the pool is floating chlorine tablets. So bring CYA up to 30? and get some liquid chlorine?

Your tablets will be adding CYA until you switch to LC so factor that into the amount of CYA you add.

only problem I did not think would be a issue is the LC. local Walmart's are all sold out now for few weeks and idk if they done selling it for the year. Lowes has some but its out in garden center outside, idk if that is any good? I went to local pool store and bought a 5 gallon pail of it.
