Salt in winter?

Salt reading came in at 2600. For once, my SWG agrees and is occasionally complaining about Low Salt. Water temp is about 56 degrees and the SWG is likely to stop generating soon. Is it worthwhile to add salt now or wait till spring?

No big deal one way or the other. If you go liquid chlorine soon, the salt (if added) will be there later. Or you can just add it in the spring.

Makes sense. I was wondering how salt is lost. Is that primarily through leaks?

It could be, or simply water exchanges over time. You have a cart filter so the salt should stay there unless you have heavy rains and need to drain some water.
