Salt added before 30 days - anything to watch for?

Hi there,
Our pool was plastered with NPT Stonescapes 21 days ago. Went out to see the pool company added the salt. Everything I read and have been told was to wait a min. of 30 days. What done is done, but is there anything I should be aware of or watch for in the water chemistry?

Some of the salt is just sitting on the bottom…should I be brushing it around?
Absolutely brush it around. 3 weeks maybe not a big deal but certainly not ideal. That’s the trouble with pool services, they never have to pay for their mistakes and you don’t typically see the damage until a long time after they’re gone.

It’s so frustrating! The pool start-up company hired by the pool builder gasped when I said I was brushing 2x per day. He say 2x per week max as well brush away all the aggregate. This process has been so frustrating. Sigh…

2X per week is maybe ok after the plaster is cured. Nothing wrong with extra brushing as long as it’s a nylon/plastic brush. I brush mine once a month at most during the summer.

When Should Salt be Added? In our industry, there seems to be some consensus to wait 30 days before adding salt to new plaster pools, yet some say it is okay to add salt within a couple of days of filling the pool. Who is right? This thread describes why it appears that the recommendation to wait 30 days before adding any salt is appropriate for most plaster pools, including quartz and pebble pools
