"Safe" Trichlor Pucks?

Any suggestions on "safe" Trichlor tabs to use while away for a week or so? Specifically, ones without copper in them?

Have a friend with Pool Mate 3" All-In-1 tabs, 1-1425M, and label says 94.05% Trichlor, 5.95% other. Best MSDS sheet I could find lists that 5.95% as "Trade Secret".

Also, how many do I stick in a floater for say a week to 10 days?

If you need trichlor tablets, get plain ones. Should be 99% trichlor. Those 3n1 have a mess of additives.

I would put 4 or 5 tablets in your floater. Tie it so that it sits near a pool return, but cannot go over a shallow step.

$30 for 4lbs 99% Trichlor tabs, local supplier. Seems reasonable. I'll probably never use the leftovers this year.
