Safe to swim? What to adjust next?

Hi everyone, I've been following this forum for about 8 months now and have learned so much. I picked up a TF-100 test kit at the end of last season.

My pool was opened yesterday, however I think my pool company put in way too much shock as the FC is around 30.

I was able to bring the PH down to 7.8 and the water is crystal clear. I would assume FC of 30 with my CYA only at 50 wouldn't be advisable to swim in?

PH - 7.8
FC - 30
CH - 175
TA - 140
CYA - 50
SALT - 2800

Thanks!

You are correct. If you look at our FC/CYA Levels, an FC of 20 is the limit for safe swimming. It shouldn't take long to fall though. :swim:Welcome to TFP!
