Hello!!! Just want to get yalls feedback on our current situation. We currently have an inground pool, 20x40 vinyl liner.. still in the process of getting everything finished. No electrical connection yet.. I understand bacteria grows in stagnant water so with that being said, can we still add those Clorox tabs and shock the water for now since there’s no circulation around the pool yet? The water is crystal clear and have robo vacuumed it to clean and was initially filled last Monday. Looking to full completion in the next two weeks.. what are your thoughts on swimming in it? Thank you :😊

I would not swim, or allow my grandkids to swim. YMMV. (Am I too hardline? Maybe...but I love my grandkids enough to keep them safe).

I would add 3ppm of liquid chlorine per day to keep bacteria and algae at bay. Download pool math configure your pool, and use it to help you figure out how much liquid chlorine to add per day. Link-->PoolMath

Add a quart at a time, slowly, and brush A BUNCH. Chlorine will sink and can bleach a liner without circulation. Brushing, particularly the bottom will mix it.

Tabs are likely too slow to add chlorine, and shock may raise FC too high, without stabilizer.

How are you going to test your water? Get a recommended test kit on order today so you are ready to manage the pool...Link-->Test Kits Compared

When your test kit arrives and the pool has circulated for at least 24 hour, post up result and we will get you going.
