Rx Clear Chlorine

Anyone tried the Rx Clear brand of 3” tabs before? Looking at buying a 50 pound bucket off of Amazon.

As long as you realize that tablets raise your CYA levels, go ahead and buy them.

You probably won't get any love on this site, as we strive to get other pool owners away from using tabs due to that CYA thing. It's not good for your pool.

With a saltwater pool, you shouldn't really need tabs at all.

I would start with reading the ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry

You should also read through the Pool School articles and watch the videos.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, there are a lot of great people here to help!

50 lbs of trichlor in a 25,000 gallon pool will:
Raise fc by 219 ppm
Raise CYA by 133 ppm
Raise salt by 179 ppm
Lower TA by 154 ppm

With a salt water pool you will not need tablets, except in an emergency. 50 pounds would take hundreds of years to use.
