Hello TFP,
Opened to a green pool this year and I am a new pool owner, I was dumping a bunch of calcium hypochlorite shock packs in the pool. Our pump broke, still added more calcium hypochlorite to shock the pool until we got the pump fixed. I didn’t know any better but it hind sight I think this was a mistake.
Now water is clear but there is this rough tan patch bottom of pool. I’m figuring this is calcium buildup from using that type of shock. Has anyone encountered this and how did they fix it? Pumice stone on end of pole? (Will be difficult to cover this large an area). Firm brush? Muriatic acid and then brush and pumice?
Thanks for your help!
