No, you are understanding the chart. The higher cya helps the swg works less by lessening the chlorine lost to the sun. The danger is if the chlorine levels drop too low and a swg pool does get algae, then then it will take more chlorine to kill it...but chlorine going to low is less likely with swgs automatically dosing daily compared to manually dosed pools.
