Robot During a SLAM??

Mike,

The only problem that I have seen with robots and FC is that the color will fade over time. I doubt that SLAM FC will cause any actual damage to your robot.

That said, the type of scrubbing the robot does to the pool wall is not at all like a good brush will do. I might use a robot at the final stages of a SLAM, but would want to use a good brush for a few days at the beginning of a SLAM.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Was afraid you were going to say that! :)

Algae set in on the pool walls this year before we normally start routine pool care. It brushes away somewhat with a wire brush, but is stubborn and not going away completely. Balancing pH today and will start SLAM soon.

Just dreading the brushing. It's what makes me want to fill it in and build a gazebo.

Mike,

I have followed the TFP pool care process for about 8 years. I have three pools, so that would be 24 "pool years".. In that time I have never had algae.

Once you get rid of your algae, if you follow our process, you will never get algae again.

As a moderator here, I often hesitate to answer SLAM questions, as in those 24 years, I have never had to perform a SLAM.

It is really just that simple.

I am also in the DFW area.

Thanks,

Jim R.
