I called Margaret and she gave me a few good options for pool cleaners. Basically deciding between Prowler 920, Triton ps plus, S300

Big factors are if I want the remote (wifi), caddy included, and the full indicator. I feel like I'll check the basket at least once a week so fill indicator probably isn't a big deal. What about the remote and Caddy? Anyone have strong feelings one way or the other? We're talking a couple hundred bucks to not get them

cpf,

I find that the caddy is not for me, as I have a place to keep the robot by my equipment pad. I have no personal use for it. I actually had one that I gave away.

WiFi, or manually driving them around, is just a waste of your money. I had it on an older Dolphin and used it once, the first day. Never used it again, the robot died 7 years later.

The S200, S300, and S300i all have the same basic cleaning power, the rest are just bells and whistles to get you to spend more money.

I have three of them in three pools and they are all the "S200" style of robots. I have been using robots for many years and this style is the best that I have used so for. I bought them all from Marina, and it will be my go-to place when I need another one.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I love my caddy and would not hesitate to purchase another if mine ever went missing. Admittedly, it depends on your set up and how you plan to use your robot. I pull mine out of the pool when not in use, so I need some place to store my robot. Plus I am not sure where I would have my control box if I did not have a caddy.

The remote (iPhone app) is somewhat useful for me as I have a raised spa and long wall one one side of the pool. So if the robot stops on the “wrong” side of the pool, I can drive it to a more easily accessible area. You need a decent Wi-Fi connection for this function. I could probably live without it, though.

Fill indicator is useless to me, as I clean the robot after every use.

I’m not sure if the less expensive robots include “pick me up” but that is also a useful feature for me, as I prefer not to pull on the chord to lift the robot if I can avoid it. I have an M600 and it is fairly heavy.

All the models are exactly the same till you get to the Active 60 / M600, then you get bigger pumps and everything else.. I do not use the caddy but I have it, for now that is where my power supply is placed but it will move for my new pool... the S200 is a rockstar...
