Rinse output clearer than filter output

Hey Everyone!

Been struggling with cloudy water and doing a SLAM for about 2 weeks now, and the water is either very very slowly getting better or Im losing my mind and hallucinating (probably). Anyway, today after a backwash, I decided to pull a sample of water straight from the output hose after the rinse cycle (left cup in picture below) to compare a sample of the water straight from the output hose after it filtered (right cup in the picture below). As you can see the rinsed water is appreciable clearer than the filtered water. Is it normal for the rinse water to be clearer than the filtered water? Or does that mean theres something wrong in the filter? My pool chemistry is below in case that matters:
pH (checked before slam began): 7.5
CYA: 30
FC: 12

Totally normal. Just continue your normal filtering.
Rinse is to clear any dirt out of the clean side of the sand before you start sending it back to the pool.

Take a picture from the same spot every day. Makes it easier to tell the difference.
You might add some pool DE to your sand filter to help:

Add DE to a Sand Filter

A clean pool filter will increase the efficiency of your pool! ... your filter are to backwash it, clean the manifolds and grids, and add new DE.

Okay good deal! Thank you for the quick reply! Just making sure my pump isnt undermining the SLAM process or anything.

Backwash. Note filter pressure. When filter pressure rises 25%, backwash again.
What filter do you have (make/model)? Can you post pictures of your pad?
When was the last time you checked your sand level? Sand level can go down over the years. With a lower sand level your filter will not be as effective.

We have an Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter (2800gpm). This is only the second year we've had it and last year we only ran it for maybe 2months before closing for the winter (we installed it ourselves and it took waaay long for ground prep than we anticipated).
