Rheem 406a heater sensor failure

When I turn the heater on within 10 seconds I get a sensor failure. It's showing the pool water temp correctly. The heater is connected to an easy touch system. Not really sure where to start troubleshooting.

BTW the heater worked yesterday. I had to reconnect the water sensor on the the easy touch (temp showing correct there). When I turned the power on after I went to check heater and see the sensor error.

We have two control panels in play - the heater and the EasyTouch. When you say you get. “Sensor failure” message is that on the heater or the EasyTouch?

What is the exact message? Post a pic of it. Also post pics of your heater and overall equipment pad.
