Return Placement

We are doing a pool reno. The pool is 16'x32' and 8' deep in the deep end. Currently our 2 returns and skimmer are all on the same wall (the left wall) so we want to move them while we are replacing the liner.

Blue is skimmer, red are returns, yellow are lights. The stairs side is the shallow end. Which would be best or would you suggest something different?

The water out of the returns will follow the green lines into the blue skimmer.

Returns near the skimmer as in B & C will have water flow that creates a short circuit directly from the return into the skimmer as shown by the green line. It will be stronger then the flow from the other returns shown in yellow and make the lower right part of the pool more stagnant.
