I've done some reading on here and tried 'a' ping pong ball - but I can't seem to get a circular motion going in my pool - just confirming my thoughts etc with the great help here!
I have a 16x32 rectangular pool - the skimmer and returns are all on the same said - 2 returns 1 skimmer. The prevailing wind seems to come from the E most of the time (unless I have that wrong..) - I have a main drain in the 8' deep end as well. I can adjust the main drain and skimmer by turning valves at the pump where they are attached.
Right now they returns are set the way the previous owner had them set. They are breaking the surface of the water and I believe causing my daily pH rise as a result. So I need to re-adjust. Any suggestions on which way to adjust them?

S = Stairs
* = Returns
@ = Skimmer
M = Main Drain
w = water since the ascii drawing wouldn't keep the spaces when I posted.
Side opposite stairs where is the E and Stairs are West. Skimmer/Returns on South side of pool.
What I notice is that debris (on top of water when I'm using leaf rake) generally collects and swirls in D1 and D2
D3/D4 usually has debris on pool floor that the Polaris will pick up.
Let me know if there are more questions etc. Thanks as always for the help and advice!
