Retired swimmer...

New member, joining because my wife and I are looking to build a lap pool. I'm a retired college swimmer, and my wife likes lap swimming as well. Plus, we have the space...10+ acres outside of Charleston SC.

I'm in the process of down selecting builders, to build a proper 25yd ( or meters) pool. Should be fun, right? I also have the experience, although from a while ago, of being lifeguard, swim lesson instructor (I have a 18 month old daughter) and pool manager.

Yay! Fun times ahead for the family.

With having a young daughter I would recommend a long rectangle pool with swim lanes, but also enough space for your entire family and friends to enjoy. Your daughter will want to have friends over in no time

Keep us posted as to the plans We can help you review equipment choices, etc.
