resurfaced fiberglass pool PH Help

Hello-

Similar question- I have fiberglass pool that we got resurfaced about three months before opening. Not sure that had anything to do with it- but this year I decided to use 12.5 liquid chlorine and am liking it- except my ph always rises to about 8.2 after shocking with it. Is this normal to keep having to add acid using liquid chlorine?

Test your pH before adding chlorine and make any pH adjustments.

Then add your chlorine. Adding a large amount of chlorine can cause a temporary pH rise.
