Hello, my intermatic timer model t103 finally stopped spinning. I’m replacing it with an exact model, but my old timer, the spot where the ground wire goes has nothing hooked up. What am I missing here?

It looks like it's the timer box is kept in a garage or indoors? If so a separate ground wire is not required in some places as the conduit should already be grounding the box. If it's outside it needs one because the metal conduit is not water tight. Check your code requirements.

ian,

Also keep in mind that codes change all the time so when that box was put in, a ground might not have been needed.. and even if it was, that does not mean it was done right... :p

I just worked on an intermatic timer and the ground wires were twisted together with a wire nut. Perhaps behind all that you will fine them.

Thanks! it’s inside the pump house shed. The conduit is indeed the ground, I had no idea. I had an electrician friend come take a peek.
