I have a above ground pool and pump to filter hose started leaking thought was from heat from sun so purchased another from Amazon well this hose lewaks as well geez I wanna scream ordered another one from amazon do I need to do anything special to the fittings/hose to make water tight

Like @ajw22 said, photos are helpful. If I remember correctly my last filter had orings at the filter and pump. I could never get the fitting off at the filter but removed the pump fitting every fall to store the filter. It may be bad, the new one doesn't have one, where the fitting mates to the section may be bad or it just may needed to be lubed and tightened a bit. A big Channel lock type plier works great if it needs to be tightened, just don't go too crazy. Something like this: Channellock 16-1/2 in. Tongue and Groove Slip Joint Plier 460 - The Home Depot
