I have a check valve that has failed (spa water level equalizing with pool when pump is off) but it looks like i will have to cut the plumbing to install a new one. Does anyone know if I can replace just the spring/o-ring in this type of check valve? If I have to cut the top plumbing how much extra pvc do I need to install a new coupling? The twist part of the valve seems to be cemented closed as well. Can anyone recommend a better check valve that would fit my plumbing possibly with union coupling for easy maintenance?
