I'm faced with replacing a VS-3050. It cannot be repaired with a new motor. I installed the VS-3050 myself years ago.

I am leaning towards a Pentair IntelliFlo3 11075. I am not sure if I need the I/O board or not. I have an Easytouch controller.
Would this pump just plug in to the Easytouch controller just like the VS-3050?
The Easytouch is probably about 15 years old. Would it likely need new firmware for the newer pump?

Does this pump come with the union on the inlet? Besides pipe fittings, is there anything else I would need?

Thanks for any advice

You don’t need the IO Board if you have the EASYTouch.

The IntelliFlo3 will connect into your EasyTouch.

Get CMP High Temp unions if they are not included with the pump.

Wet,

The IntelliFlo3 is a great pump, but it does not have the same form factor of your original IntelliFlo. This means some replumbing will have to be done.

If your current IntelliFlo is installed with unions, then I would go with the standard IntelliFlo. If your current IntelliFlo does not have unions, then you will have to replumb anyway.

I 'think' the IntelliFlo3 comes with unions.. The manual says "Provided union kit allows for easy plumbing to a variety of pipe diameters. See UNION KIT OPTIONS" It appears it comes with 1.5" and 2" unions and 3" unions can be purchased separately. That said, I have never seen an IntelliFlo3, so I don't know for sure.

Thanks,

Jim R.
