Replacement Liner

Last Fall I had my inground vinyl pool liner replaced. Due to supply issues it was replaced later and in cooler weather than I would have preferred. It's a large Pool - Straight L 20X45 feet and 28 feet at the shallow end of the "L". Its also Tri-Level and has a cuddle cove. Basically a difficult install.
My question; Is it appropriate or common to use pool liner clips to hold a liner on to the track on a new liner ? Everything I've read says this is typically done on an old liner that is sagging. New liners should just be attached to the track. The liner is coming out in a few places especially the last section they attached. The photo shows the clips used and you can see the liner is pulling away. Thanks

I replaced my liner and they did attached to the tracks and added a liner locker (rubber band to secure the liner so that it stay in the track). Did they told you that your tracks were in bad shape or something, it does look wrong on a new liner but I am no expert.

They told me my pool was in very good shape. I think the issue is the temperature was in the 50's when they installed it. They had to pour hot water on the liner to stretch it in spots and still could not get the line into the tracks. Hopefully now that its warmer they can properly fix it. They are coming tomorrow to look at it.

Mine was installed October 29th last year in Quebec Canada. They started it was already dark (no sun) and temperature as below 50, like much closer to 40 and they also had to use hot water. I was really stressed but the install is flawless.

Do not let them go without fixing it properly. This might involve to remove all water and fill it again.... Good luck with that!

I would be LIVID if clips or liner lock is needed after ONE YEAR. Id call the installer, and demand a new liner! It looks like it was measured too small!! 100% Unacceptable! Wishing you all the best as you try to resolve this.
