Replace Pump Motor

It looks like I have a WMC / PPC AT Series Pump based on the fact that I have an SS-6162 impeller. I am trying to remove the Seal Plate (13) but when I removed the impeller (10) it seems the connecting shaft which is supposed to be part of it is still on the pump motor shaft. Any recommendations on how to get that off?

I think you have to hack that collar off or cut the entire shaft off so you can get it apart and replace the motor.

This is looking more and more like a Frankenstein I inherited... The pump motor is rated for 1HP, the impeller is a 0.75 HP impeller...

that's no big deal. I currently have a 1 horsepower impeller on a 1.5 horsepower motor myself
