Wondering if anyone has used PVC Primer as a cleaner before attempting a patch on a vinyl liner. My pool guy recommends before attempt applying gorilla tape on a split liner Thx in advance

I have not heard of that technique to repair a liner. I would not use gorilla tape to repair a split liner. It may work in a pinch but for a long term repair I would use a vinyl liner patch kit, if the liner was repairable.
Same. I've never heard of this practice. I'd also not use Gorilla tape. If it's a very large tear, I'd consider a new liner all together. Its probably not going to hold.
Thx guys I appreciate the feedback. I am just trying to buy some time till the weather is warm enough here in Vancouver to have a new liner installed in the Spring. I tried it out today and am now just waiting fingers crossed it holds long enough. I will keep you updated. Cheers !
