We live in the country in Ontario Canada and are embarking on a pool Reno for a 35+ year old steel framed pool. I think we have nailed the liner selection (thanks to the great posts in this forum), replaced the stairs, but still trying to determine the concrete coping pavers and if a mortar joint is needed. We have a salt water pool and wondered if glueing or caulking in between might help reduce the salt water exposure to the stele frame, or if tremclad or something prior to flying might help.
