Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and I am in desperate need for help with my pool. The pool is about 50 years old and I’m not sure if it’s ever been renovated (I’ve only been in my house for about a year). During the home inspection, I noticed the autofill but I was told it was used to maintain the water levels due to evaporation. When I turned off the autofill, the water level dropped by about 50%, which probably means that I have leak. I’ve covered the pool and winterized it while I figure out my options. What are your thoughts and recommendations for converting it into a hydro spa? Finding the leaks and fixing them? Starting over from scratch? Thanks

Firstly hi and welcome. You haven't told us anything else about this pool like is this a gunnite or a liner pool. It's probably not recommended to winterize it while you don't know where the leak is. The pool being left like this for too long can become a bigger problem then you want to believe as it can collapse inwards.....depending on the pool construction.
