My hot tub has developed a significant scum line on one end only, the far spot from the skimmer. This spot is hit hardest by the return line, which is certainly stronger than it need be. But I dont know what the stain is not how best to remove it. My former pool company used to put in scum sponges but I have stopped. Water chemistry has been pretty consistent over the last 60 days or so while this scum line developed (I added the CH, it had been <70 when pool company did weekly service until end of June): (I am the primary user and I go in after swimming in the pool - which has no scum line issues)
FC 8 (runs 8-10)
pH 8 (varies 7.6-8.0 as I add acid)
TA 50
CH 325 (been down to 250 because of leak)
CYN 60
Borates 50 (has gotten down to 20 because of leak)
Salt 3100 (varies 3000-3600, been dealing with a small leak)
Is there a product for removal of this film layer on the tiles?
