I am in southern California. We have had a lot of rain this season for our region. We just started demo on an in ground pool remodel. Plaster, tile and new steps.
The contractor drilled some holes in the deep end to release pressure. A lot of water came out. The part that concerns me is A lot of sand came out as well. Like a barrell worth. Is this normal? Is this causing weakness under the shell of the pool. We are waiting for the water to stop before proceeding any work.
Has anyone ever had anything come from the holes other than water?

I suppose by now the project is complete, but wanted to check in anyways to see how things are going. Anything new on the sand mystery? We can ping one of our plaster/construction experts if you stilll have concerns.
