Remodel In Phoenix, AZ

I love your finish! It looks very similar to mine. What color did you get?

Thanks! It's Prism Matrix Indigo Blue...it does look similar to yours too. It's really close to Nursenini's choice as well. I think every manufacturer has options that mirror each others' options.

:thumleft: I agree -- looks great even BEFORE acid wash!!!

Thank you! I can't wait to see it tomorrow!

I LOVE IT!!! Since yours and mine are almost identical, it makes me SO EXCITED to see this!!! It's gorgeous!!! Can not wait to see it full of water and balanced!!!

I was thinking about you when the pebbles and beads first started to show! You'll love it!

I'm pretty sure it's Indigo Blue if I remember right.

Right you are!

My tap water in Tempe had a TA of 200 when I tested it last summer and was the reason I was fighting high TA and rising pH all last summer (my first as a pool owner). Now I know I need to keep plenty of MA on hand as the temps get warmer and the evaporation increases.

And my pizza oven is in the planning stages...

Yeah, my pool was pretty much drinking muriatic acid as it was...now with the water feature I may as well just fill the pool with acid and skip the water! And you will not regret having a pizza oven!

I LOVE your plaster color and the tile detail on your stairs. I've been thinking about using tile like that to accent the stairs, ledge and deep end bench........and I think you just sold me on it!!

Awesome! You definitely won't regret it. Initially I was just going to put a few individual tiles spaced apart to mark the steps (sometimes it's hard to see where the step ends...lol), but I'm glad I upgraded to what I did. It all looks really nice together.

I had my husband stop what he was doing to look at your plaster pictures so he could see what we have to look forward to ;)
Is acid wash and fill tomorrow?

Oh yes...I'm hoping they come early again so I can get more pictures and start filling it up before I go to bed.

And to everyone else who replied that I didn't quote above, thank you for all the kind words! I don't think I've ever used this many exclamation marks before in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What tile did you use to trim the steps? I looked back through your thread but didn't see it.
My hubby works nights, too, for almost all our 30yrs of marriage.

You know what? I don't think I ever mentioned it. Oops! It's tile from NPT, from the Jules collection: Bright Cobalt Blue Blend
NPT-37-2000. It was between that and the Rustic Blue Blend from the same collection, but I just love my bright blues, so cobalt blue won out.

Aaaaand it's done!

So they didn't come early as I had been hoping, but they came and that's all that matters. I really don't even know what to say, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

Please excuse my fat head-shadow, but I had to get that shot and there was no way to avoid it. Those aqua beads just glow in the sun!

I would have liked to get more pics, but the sun was going down and I was having to compete with it coming in at an angle, and a lot of what I took didn't come out that well. I got enough to give y'all an idea at least. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic about how it came out! It's filling now, and I'll get more pics after it's filled and throughout the brushing/chemical adjusting period. Thanks for checking it out!

Oh wow!!! I can't wait to see that with water in it! Thank you for posting. Oh, now I'm torn between Deep Sea Blue and Indigo Blue but pretty sold on Prism Matrix. That's just gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the water pics!

Wow, just wow! That is gorgeous! No wonder you are pleased!

Just curious, did they put any plaster cream between your glass trim tiles, or is that grout? It kind of looks like there are still gaps between the tiles, but I can't tell for sure. I love how the bright blues all go together. We are using the same trim tiles, but in the rustic blue blend.

Thanks! I'm loving it! There's gray grout between the tiles, but there is some plaster cream on top of the grout in spots. They got most of it, and the rest of it should come off during brushing.

Mooveebuff it looks awesome!! So much that we are considering copying you with adding the glass tile and Indigo Blue. Meeting with our PB tomorrow morning to go over upgrade costs, lol. Can't wait to see it with water!!

Cool! If it fits in your budget, it's definitely worth it!

Ah yes, there is now water in the pool!

And that's that. PB will be out tomorrow to get everything started up and give the pool its first dose of chemicals. I'm going to take a few pictures each day just to see any color changes as I brush and get the chemicals balanced. It's so hard to not want to jump in...

WOWER! That is some pretty water! LOVE the color it turned out!

Okay I cannot remember if you have a test kit yet so goes. Look in my siggy for the test kit we use and love. This will keep your pool clear and plaster happy for many years to come.

Here is a link for you BUT know the PB holds the warranty card so..........what he says goes.
