This is the official start of my pool remodel thread. I'll upload some photos later tonight for the "before" pics.
My pool is an original 1980s Anthony & Sylvan lazy L with an attached spa. Everything is original including the painted plaster... well, what remains of the paint and plaster.
I'm keeping the original coping and pool deck because I might be selling the house later this year. I'm replacing the pool tile and getting plain regular plaster.
I initially selected their "stock" tile and finally received an email with their samples. I'm not impressed. Let me know your thoughts.

The lip on the coping is pretty bad due to slab settling, in that spa photo. Since our pools are pretty much the same and your a few miles down the road, of course I had the same problem....lol! I had a company come out about 6 years ago to do concrete jacking (inject concrete in little holes to lift it). Worked pretty good. I know you're not going to be here for long, but thought I would mention it. At this point you should check the gap between the plastic overflow and the concrete to make sure there's no cracks or gaps for water to seep into.
What makes them hard to take care of? I think I know but don't want to guess.

Did they cut tile into smaller slivers around the inside corners?
