relocating sewer line

hi - our pool builder told us there is no issue in relocating the sewer line AFTER the dig and gunite. We followed his direction and sewer is now rerouted but after thinking a bit I’m questioning if there’s any integrity issues for the pool shell given the sewer pipe wasn’t removed. They’ll remove it here shortly and maybe concrete? and plaster over the holes.

Let me know if there’s any professional opinions on how this was handled.

The sewer pipe penetration is smaller than a light niche. Those type of penetrations do not cause any structural issues if the rebar is planned around it.

Hydraulic cement on both sides of the hole should seal it.

Insist that the pipe is completely removed where it’s in contact with the Shotcrete shell (completely through the wall). If the pipe is left in place and filled with a concrete it has a higher chance of not adhering and never being as one with its surroundings, that will lead to a greater probability of failure/cracking in the future.
