Instead of having 100% marble sand of regular plaster, it has 65% marble sand and 35% quartz sand. Quartz is harder than marble so it is a somewhat more durable finish. There is also a sprinkling of pebbles added for some pop. It is very smooth, similar to regular plaster. It is still considered plaster, not quartz due to its relatively low quartz content. How that relates to lifespan is hard to say. Any plaster based finish should have a rather long life if applied in accordance with best practices and water quality is reasonably well maintained. Our local expert says that any plaster finish should be able to last 20 years given those two things.
