I removed a recessed hot tub from my deck. Replacing the deck seems like a straightforward DYI job. I was hoping to get reassurance here before starting the job.
Plan is to use 2x8 joists spaced out 16in. Span is 9 feet. Will secure joists with joist hangers. Once joists are in, I’ll lay deck board over and screw in.
Anything I need to consider before starting? Does the wood need to season before installation? Are joist hangers enough?
