At some point (read: 5-10 year timeline) I may redo the spa into a small pool but it would be no more than 9,000 at the absolute most, so I think the smallest of SWCG is fine.

I have a Pentair EasyTouch system and an IntelliFlo VSP which I run 3 hours a day but I can set that to whatever I want, so my gut is IC-15, but IC in general seems to be an unpopular system. IC-15 also seems to be for "above-ground" but I don't get what's the difference or why it cares?

So, questions:

1) Is the IC-15 the right call, or should I go IC-20
2) Are any downsides of the Pentair systems outweighed by the automation with the EasyTouch?
3) Does it matter where this is plumbed in? My installer says it has to be after the heater before the jet return (and with a check valve) but this is the same installer who tells me that an air leak in my filter is normal.

Thank you!

Use an IC20.
With Pentair automation, use an IC20
It must be after the heater. No check valve is needed.

The iChlor is not a robust system. Also, the iChlor 15 uses a different power center. So if you wish to change to an intelliChlor later, you have to purchase the $500 power center.
