Are these reagents the same? The reason I ask is because when using the 2oz. bottle my TA is 20 points higher. I don’t know how old the .75 oz. bottle is but the 2 oz. Bottle expires on 07/26. Does R0009 degrade over time and that’s why the test results are different? If so, that would explain why I’ve been chasing pH rise all summer. I’ve done everything to try and slow it down but I haven’t had any luck. In the past with a TA of 60 and around 50 borates I could go maybe 4 days without adding MA but now it’s about half of that. So is the 2 reagents are the same I’ve found the culprit.

If the drop size is slightly different, how do I know which one is correct? And how do I believe any of my readings if drop sizes change? Does R0009 degrade with age?

Wipe the tip with a wet paper towel, reagents can get a static charge, especially the 009. Wiping eliminates it.
Yes, all reagents degrade over time.
