So as I was adding $15/bottle to my cart it dawned on me, am I better off just reordering a new kit? The reagents seem to add up to more individually than if you just buy a kit. Am I missing something?

I discovered that exact same scenario. When I went to replace my reagents this year, I ended up purchasing an entirely new kit. You may however want to check with TFTESTKITS.net to see if they are running a sell that may save you some money.
