Re-plumbing my filter.

Replacing poorly designed (restricted) plumbing and I have 2 options of how to combine the 2 skimmers and 1 floor drain to the pump.

South Skimmer is the furthest away. Then Floor and North Skimmer is the closest. is it best to have the S skimmer with the least restriction?
I am replacing all the PVC and the Multiport valve while I'm at it. and removing about 8 unnecessary elbows and replacing the PVC valves with Hayward trimline valves.

Also how would I do a diverter valve if I was to do so.

I'm no expert, but I think dropping the excess elbows will have more impact than any difference between your two proposed manifold layouts. I'd go with whichever layout gives you a straight shot to the pump inlet, if one or the other actually impacts that connection.

I like what you are going to do and it will look much better... But.....

It will have no real noticeable effect on the operation of your system...

Thanks guys! I just see some guys on YouTube "grading plumbing efficiency" and wanted too get a second opinion!

New non leaky plumbing plus a new VS 2.5hp jacuzzi pump will make a lot of difference!
