Re-plaster on new pool

That is new information that the pool was recently drained and refilled. So the copper would have left with the drain before the patch job.

With well water it is typically iron. The purple color is odd though. Normally iron shows up as light green or brown.

I still suggest you do not use the mineral cartridge. It does not reduce the level of FC you need in the pool and will eventually build up copper levels enough to turn blonde hair green and stain your pool.

Good to hear. Be sure to get the K2006C, the C matters. A better value is the TF100 from TFTestkits.net.

Sounds like you're getting advice on a full chipout, so I won't go there. However, I have had some experience with Nature 2 products. I've never had purple water (I wouldn't think the copper concentration would be high enough to physically color a 15,000 + galloon pool). But I have had staining immediately after adding the copper/silver cartridge - blueish at first and then grey/black as the stain oxidizes (from the chlorine in the pool). I'd steer clear of the copper sanitizer - haven't had any problems since with good ol' bleach!

I don’t know what happened. I have used the nature2 since last year. I have had nothing but crystal clear water. It all changed when the drained my pool then re-filled with well water. The water was green. I added two bottles of the metal out and ran my filter for 24 hrs. It cleared up the next day. I backwashed then it turned purple. This is a new cartridge that was installed 3/27. The pool is clear now but it left the plaster stained with brown all over. I’m not worried about ay this point because they are going to be replastering. But it’s just weird.
