Re-banding cartridge pool filters?

I have a Pentair Clean and Clear Plus Filter system (cartridge) and the filters still look great. But the bands are deteriorating. Has anyone re-banded them? I think the process involves more than just using the same strapping machine you use for boxes and packages as I think the OEM bands are not only strapped, but glued

At low flow rates the banding really does not do much. My old filters did not have the bands on them the last 4 or 5 years they were in use.

I’ve thought about using HVAC Panduit straps used for connecting flex duct. (Looks like big wire ties about 2 1/2 ft. long) but haven’t tried it yet.
