Raypak warranty states chlorine must not exceed 5ppm and TA 100-150

Nice to meet you via TFP :)

They just go with standard industry numbers. You kinda have to choose which way to go. You can run your pool within the warranty requirements with a few modifications to TFPC. Or you can run it purely on TFPC, and then if you have a problem, adjust the water to their guidelines before they come to look at it. Or you can run on pool industry guidelines and take the chances with your water. But yep, low pH is a risk for heaters, as well as very high chlorine especially if CYA is not used to buffer the chlorine.
