Hi

So due to lack of airflow with my indoor raypak 336 heater, the person fixing it said I should replace all 22 burners for a cost of $645 installed and since my heat exchanger has a slight leak that seems to stop, replacing that is another $1100.

Is 1700ish the right price range for that?

The heater is from 2012 and lives inside.

Thanks
Rich

I would not put that much money into the heater, especially with no guarantee that it's going to work.

Based on your other posts, I suspect that you have other problems that need to be addressed.

Get a good qualified gas contractor to check it out for you.

Is the current service person a licensed gas contractor?

So I was quoted either:

New guy - I get the heater & 600 for labor
or $3500 for a 336 raypak from this installer.

My friend has a new in the box Raypak 406 I think he paid $2200 or so. I think that could be done for $3000ish installed? The vent might not line up - but i was told the 336 might not line up either.

So - $1800 for repair existing
new guy - $3500 for Raypak 336
New Guy - $4000 for Raypak 406
Old Pool company quoted $3800 credit or $3100 installed - Raypak 406 cash but the vent will be my issue to address.
