First time pool owner here. Bought a house with a pool. I’m having difficulty with my heater. It turns on and says all and I here sparking but it doesn’t seem to ignite. Additionally that gray knob to turn it on and off inside the machine doesn’t seem to turn off. I’m not sure of the exact model. Any ideas?

A couple photos from the front of the heater showing both the piping to and from the gas valve inside of the heater and a top view of the gas valve from the front of the heater would be useful. Something seems to be not right, but I can't tell from the limited view of the gas valve and piping.
The internal gas valve is in the "Off" position.
Push down slightly and rotate 180 degrees counterclockwise.
