Raypak 8450 Heat Pump - H2O Sensor Fail

Hey all. When my pool was opened up about a month ago, my Raypak 8450 heat pump was showing an H2O sensor fail message, but a few days later started running again for a week or so, then stopped.

I replaced the temp sensor, and it proceeded to run for about 4 days, then stopped and I get the same message. I just replaced the sensor again last night, and it did not resolve the problem. Leads me to believe it is something else, but not sure where to go from here.

The manual says that message should only be a temperature sensor fail. The display screen shows the temperature, which reads approximately accurate (within 2 degrees of other temp sensors in the system).

Any thoughts? Thanks!

The error message is: "H2O Sensor Fail". I have replaced this sensor 3x in the past month, and get this failure intermittently. It will show, then half a day later the heater will run, then it will show and the unit will stop.

I've also intermittently heard odd noises when the compressor comes on, either a whining or a loud repeated clacking noise. It's made me think there's more to this than the sensor (capacitor maybe?) but not sure where to begin.
