Ran pump for an hour with no water flow...

Extremely boneheaded move. I closed the intake and outlet valves on my pool today to disconnect the salt water cell and clean it. When I reassembled, you guessed it, I didn't open the valves again. Just took the dogs outside and saw red light and two hoses spraying water through small cracks (hose from pool to pump, and hose from pump to sand filter.)

The water in the hoses was HOT. Have I murdered my poor pump?

Seriously kicking myself right now.

Only an hour huh
Mine went 4-6 hours with an swg cell running, I think, don't ask why.....
Everything still working fine three months later.

Oh, you don't know how much better you just made me feel!

Replacement hoses should arrive tomorrow, so crossing fingers that all will be well!
