I have been dealing with wildlife causing havoc in my pool. I tried everything from trapping, ultrasonic sound deterrents, nite guard flashing lights, animal repellents but this might be the only thing working so far! Cross your fingers. A spike strip made with plastic bird spikes from Amazon screwed into a plank. Going to put a second one. I thought I would share for those of you that have the same problem.

I get racoons once in a while. They don't use the steps to get in and out.

I know that they are strong enough to get in and out without the steps aren't they? Well, at least this spike strip will work for the Skunk that came and used the steps I saw. But, luckily no poop. Have the Raccoons pooped in your pool?

Not yet, that I have seen. Even the ducks that were here liked to do that in my neighbor's pool instead of mine. They left a long line of poop down one side of his pool. Crazy, but true. I was on the look out and never found any in the water or on the deck.

What part of the country are you in? We are in Spring Valley..about 20 mins inland from San Diego.

In the glorious capital, Sacramento.:laughblue:
I have no idea why we get those critters as we are far away from the rivers and Folsom lake.
Forgot to mention the possums, too. Had to get a baby out of the pool on Saturday.
Good thing I have an SWG and keep the chlorine high.
