R-0870 rock?

Mine gets that way after a month or two anyway.

I just scrape off what I need.

Not sure if it impacts the accuracy, but it still turns the water pink

Mine has gotten a little clumpy I just use the spoon to break it up and then the smartstir bean breaks it down further and dissolves it. Seems to still be accurate.

Circling back to this. I was almost out of R-870, and this time I got the real deal Taylor can with the flip top lid. I was very surprised when I opened it and saw a very fine pure white powder that looked nothing like what I received from TFTestKits. Not only that, they also don't test alike.

The real Taylor product turns the water a very bright pink, very quickly. The TFTestKits product turnes a murky pinkish/purplish color, and takes a little while with a fair amount of swirling for it to dissolve. I've only done three tests (well four, I did one twice) so far but the numbers I get are also very different. About 2:1 different.

Maybe yours was bad. My TF100 / 0870 was HOT pink instantly. 🤷‍♂️

TF Testkits gets "The real Taylor product" in a larger quantity and repackages it for individual use.
It's the exact same product.
