Quick and Dirty weekend drain... Experts?

While the pump is rated for 3700 GPH, I expect with lift it will be closer to 3000 average. 2 pumps could do 6000 GPH, that is a LOT of flow! That would drain my pool in about 4 hours!
One pump should drain your pool in about 4.5 hours.
 
The new one looks more substantial, is heavier, and is more like the Home Depot rental. I'll test it before I leave on Saturday, but I like it better just looking at it. And as far as getting 2 of them... the sure are cheap enough.... I am sure one will go fast enough, though. I still can use the 1/4 hp with the garden hose at the same time too if need be.
