Questions about pool surface

Hi all! I recently bought a house with a pool. This is my first time owning a pool and I feel slightly overwhelmed. A few days ago we had to do a partial drain of the pool due to cyanuric acid levels being too high. After we drained it, I was able to get a better look at the surface of the pool. So I have a few questions: 1. What type of surface is this? 2. Why does the side of the pool like like this? 3. Should I be concerned about having to resurface the pool (I have no idea how old the pool is).20200403_153145.jpg

Welcome to TFP.

Typical older plaster pool. It looks a lot better with water in it.

If it is not leaking then swim and enjoy.

Start saving up for the time when it will need a palster job. No need to do it before you are ready.

I suggest you read ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry and Pool School - Trouble Free Pool and consider adopting TFPC methods.
